Weekend Course 28th to 30th April 2023

Permaculturist Cath Sheldrick and Naturopath Tracey Law bring together a fun and informative weekend. Our flagship course introduces the ethics and principles of permaculture and naturopathy. It will demonstrate how to apply them to our daily lives with walks, talks, practical demonstrations and interactive workshops. Locally produced and home cooked food plus refreshments included.

Our Background

How We Got Here

Cath

Family holidays on the croft during my childood nurtured my love for the natural world. Inspired by John Seymour’s book on Self Sufficiency, I took over the croft tenancy in 2007 with the aim of living lightly both on and off the land. I registered the croft as a Learning and Demonstration Centre in 2019 and have been establishing a Permaculture Design and Consultancy business since then. Over the weekend, I'll be explaining and demonstrating how the permaculture toolkit can help you to design your own low-impact lifestyle and grow at least some of your own food, whether you have a small kitchen windowsill, a huge garden or anywhere in between.

Tracey

I qualified as a mental health nurse in 1991 and worked in the NHS for many years. I retrained as an acupuncturist and naturopath and started my own business in 2003. Since moving to Scotland in 2020, I have added a new venture and have my own micro bakery, selling sourdough and learning about fermentation. Natural therapy and food for healing are what I will be bringing to the weekend.
